1941 - The US Army investigates an unidentified crashed aircraft, only much later is it determined to have been Reticulan, near Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

1947 - Two Reticulan saucers crash in New Mexico and are recovered by the U.S. Army.

1954 - The Top Secret agency MAJESTIC is established by the United States to contact Reticulans and create FTL-capable spacecraft.

1959 - MAJESTIC makes radio contact with Reticulans and establish mutual cooperation agreement.

2041 - The UN Empowerment Movement attempts to create single world government under the UN. The movement fails but many interested nations ally with the EU instead.

2050 - Construction begins on trans-continental Maglev tunnel in North America. Over the next decades, many such transcon maglevs will be constructed around the world, including the mag-lev orbital launcher near Kilimanjaro in Africa. The Kilimanjaro project unites Africa and lays the foundation for the success of the African Consortium.

2050-2060 - Eien no Jiyuu, or "Eternal Freedom", begin campaign of resistance, sabotage, and terrorism against Japanese government in Hanaseiten.

2061 - The Kyounen War. Disputes over Earth's orbital colonies lead to the first armed spacecraft and an arms race begins. The war results in the independence of the orbital colonies from Japan and the formation of the Crown League.

2062 - Military coup in Japan establishes Neo-Feudal governmental system.

2077 - First official reported appearance of Gremlins, though unofficial sightings date back farther.

2089 - The planet Arcturus V in the Arcturus system is discovered and colonized by United States.

2099 - Galactic Quadrant System officially adopted.

2080-2100 - Collapse of the US government, takeover of corporations.

2100 - The Galactic Human Population is estimated at 27 billion (20.4 billion on Earth, 6.3 billion off-world). 80 planets are colonized out to 10,800 Light Years from Earth.

2102 - The planet Niphattra in the Haritaeorn system is explored and colonized by Brazil.

2105 - Scientists at the Hawking Research Institute design the first process to "Awaken" Psi Sensitives.

2110 - The Altair Parapsychic Research Institute, the first Psi Academy, is established on the planet Kane in the Altair system.

2156 - The planet Diggstown in the Heffert system is discovered and explored by the EU.

2161-2173 - The Arcturan War. Arcturans revolt against US colonists. The resulting war nearly exterminates the native Arcturan population.

2186 - First contact with the Yuzri. The planet Yuzr in the Grob system is discovered by the US.

2191 - The planet Eos in the Hyperion System is discovered and colonized by the EU.

2200 - The Galactic Human Population is estimated at 119 billion (30 billion on Earth, 89 billion off-world). 580 planets are colonized out to 26,700 Light Years from Earth. Population of the planet Athena in the Delta Pavonis system reaches 1 billion, making it the first Core World.

2211 - The planet Tempest in the Warn system accidentally discovered and colonized by the damaged EU colony ark Tempest's Veil.

2212 - The planet Shiva 4 in the Shiva System is discovered and colonized by the EU.

2215 - Anti-gravity and artificial gravity field generators are developed.

2234 - The planet Esperance in the Neugild system is discovered and colonized by the EU.

2235 - The Droid Rebellion. The Droids of the Galaxy, at the time connected via the Hypernet, are infected by the Nexus virus. The Droids rebel but are ultimately defeated. The surviving Droid Nexus depart into deep space in exile. The Droid Nexus attempt invasion into developed space every few decades until 2460.

2270 - Birth of future galactic tyrant Gregor Veroveren.

2286 - Pirates led by Stavos Tang invade Tempest. The resulting war strands the pirates as well.

2300 - Galactic Human Population estimated at 529 Billion (29 billion on Earth, 500 billion off-world). 4207 planets are colonized out to 39,100 Light Years from Earth.

2300-2400 - The Core Wars. Disputes over trade and resources lead to at least 27 extended wars known collectively as the Core Wars. The various imperial powers of Earth shore up power bases among the older more-developed colony worlds closer to Earth. As a result, the newer more distant Colonies become less well protected and more independent.

2304-2306 - The First Core War, aka the Niphattra War. Brazil splits from EU, claims dominion over the Core World Niphattra. First Core War.

2310 - The Second Core War. The US invades the EU colony world Jason, aka Canopus 5.

2321 - General Gregor Veroveren of the European Colonial Space Corps deposes the colonial governments of the worlds he is tasked to protect. He declares himself Emperor of a Pan Solar Empire. The Planet Shiva 4 is named the capital.

2330 - The Pan Solar Empire continues its unopposed growth. The imperial powers of Earth are too preoccupied with the Core Wars and are too remote to offer any resistance. The Colonial Alliance Space Fleet formed in response to the threat posed by the Pan Solar Empire.

2344 - Fangir's Ring discovered by Argesian survey team.

2349 - Euphonia Station discovered by a US probe and re-settled. This discovery leads to the discovery of the moon Arges in the Hephaestus system, and ultimately to contact with the Argesians. The Argesians are the second interstellar society encountered by Terrestrial humans.

2350 - Tarragon in the Bastion system devastated by planetary nuclear war.

2368 - The Declaration of the Articles of the Federation are ratified by 1350 Colony Worlds. This marks the official founding date of the Interstellar Federation, called the Colonial Alliance at the time. At this time, the various worlds of the Alliance still owe allegiance to the various imperial powers of Earth.

2376 - The Colonial Alliance officially declares independence of the powers of Earth and changes its name to the Interstellar Federation. The Old Earth Empires, as they are now called, protest but are unable to oppose the declaration. The planet Eos in the Hyperion System is made the capital of the Federation.

2400 - Galactic Human Population estimated at 2.3 trillion (29.3 billion on Earth, 2.27 trillion off-world). 30,484 planets are colonized out to 43,030 Light Years from Earth.

2411 - Amazonia discovered by Brazilian survey team.

2435 - The planet Korcoran in the Pyre system suffers effects of stable hyperspace storm and is renamed Stormwall.

2460 - Last attempted full-scale invasion by the Droid Nexus.

2447 - An Cruinne Cé discovered by Federation survey team.

2473 - New Idaho in the Columbia system discovered and surveyed by the United States.

2474 - Pirate ship Hell's a'Comin' discovers Red Hell in Galactic Core.

2490 - Severnaya discovered in Cold Star system by Japanese mining company Fujitoro Metals.

2496 - Brightstar Mining Company of China obtains contract to mine planet Tarim in the Golden Emperor system.

2498 - New Idaho colonized by the United States.

2500 - Galactic Human Population estimated at 10.4 Trillion (28.9 billion on Earth, 10.37 trillion off-world). There are 220,853 colonized worlds as far away as 60,185 Light Years from Earth

2520 - African Consortium explores and colonizes Rift in the Ember system.

2535 - The Diggstown Mining Concern declares its colonial charter with Brazil invalid. Brazil is unable to effectively enforce the charter.

2540-2550 - The Invasion. The Pan Solar Empire invades the Interstellar Federation but is eventually repulsed by Space Fleet. After the Invasion, Space Fleet is re-organized into StarForce.

2540 - Esperance invaded by Pan-Solar Empire. Liberated by Space Fleet. Afterwards, Esperance joins Federation.

2542 - Rival mining company Starmetals invades Severnaya with mercenary troops.

2549 - The Worm are discovered during the autopsy of the Secretary Ashram. Ashram was killed after he assassinated President Goya of the Federation. Hepopi Ponobaq is elected as Goya's successor.

2550 - The various armed services of the Interstellar Federation are unified under StarForce. Starbase 54 constructed in Catagon system.

2561 - Imperial Japanese Armed Forces restructured along StarForce model.

2567 - Federation StarForce intervenes in Severnaya conflict.

2588 - Heshan pilgrims arrive in orbit of An Cruinne Cé. Hunter ships seed New Idaho with Sauré eggs.

2589 - Hunters return to New Idaho and are forced to ally with United States space marines to destroy out of control Sauré infestation. Resulting Pi-Tachyon and Nuclear strikes cause irreparable harm to New Idahoan ecology. Brazil discovers the planet Tarim and makes contact with survivors.

2593 - Pan Solar Empire discovers and invades Tempest.

2594 - Herni Stevenson selected by corporate conclave to run for president.

2596 - President Ponobaq resigns. Irunali Nakamura is elected President of the Federation. Herni Stevenson elected president of the United States.

2600 - Now. Galactic Human Population is estimated at 48.5 Trillion (28.5 billion on Earth, 48.47 trillion off-world) with 1.6 million worlds colonized, some with over 500 years of history. The population of the Earth is estimated to be 28.5 billion. 1000 worlds register populations in excess of 10 billion, accounting for 10 trillion of the GHP. There are 1.6 million colonized worlds as far away as 67,650 Light Years from Earth.
